YOUR VILLA IN BIG GAME TERRITORY

Enjoy a beautiful view right onto the Kleine Drakensbergen and be overwhelmed by the most stunning sunsets.

This bush villa, built in 2023, is located in one of the few estates where Big 5 (except buffalo) roam freely. There are two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and toilet, outdoor shower and private balcony with a view of the Drakensbergen. Luxury bush feel assured. Besides from your terrace you can enjoy the game during a game drive led by a local wildlife guide.

Furthermore, the villa has a swimming pool of 11.5 meters in length. So you can also work on your fitness.

The Bush Villa

- Stunning mountain view from all rooms

- Wildlife on your doorstep

- Solar powered batteries

- Dedicated internet and WiFi

- Daily songbird wake-up call

Load shedding is a major problem in South Africa. This villa is completely self-supporting through batteries powered by solar panels. The bed rooms are airconditioned, but due to the construction with a far overhanging thatched roof, the temperatures are quite acceptable even in summer. Fans are mounted in all rooms.

Furthermore, high speed internet is available by means of a dedicated dish on the Letaba cell tower. So you do not share the bandwidth with others. A workaction, vacation and work at the same time is therefore very possible, also for digital nomads who work with large data files.

An additional advantage is that there is no time difference with Europe.

The villa and terrace are strictly non-smoking!

No pets allowed!

The Estate

The estate is a few minutes' drive from the center of the lively town of Hoedspruit. The Kruger Park (Orpan Gate) is a 45 minute drive away, but there's little reason to go there. The estate has 5000 hectares of undeveloped wilderness, which is criss-crossed by sandy tracks and unpaved roads. A local guide will gladly take you on a game drive to introduce you to the Two Brothers, two beautiful lion men, with their pride. Not enough yet? Elephants, rhinoceroses, the white but also the rare black, and all the grazing game roam here. Hippos and crocodiles inhabit the local ponds.

On the way from the guarded gate to the villa you can encounter a lot of this game from your (rental) car.

All wildlife photos on this web site are made on the estate.

Rules & Regulations

An estate where lions, leopards, elephants, rhinoceroses etc. roam freely requires some regulations. The purpose of the rules is obvious, to guarantee the safety and well-being of humans and animals. It is therefore very important to comply with the rules.

The main rules are:

  • We are guests among the animals. Don't disturb them.

  • Never feed animals. As a result, they get used to us and can (will) pose a danger. The animals will pay for this with their lives.

  • With your regular streetcar you can drive from the gate to your villa. Game drives only take place in dedicated open game vehicles.

  • Never leave your car, not even to take a picture. The danger may be behind the next bush.

  • Parties or noisy presence are not allowed. Everyone comes here to enjoy nature.

The Town of Hoedspruit

Hoedspruit is a fast growing town due to the growing eco tourism. It is an excellent springboard for a self-drive trip to the Kruger Park. Despite the growth, Hoedspruit still has a cozy authentic center, with nice restaurants and small shops. Besides a safari in the Kruger Park, Hoedspruit also has many other interesting sights and activities.

Due to the growth and the associated prosperity, there is little dissatisfaction in the region. Large townships are not to be found. Hoedspruit is therefore a very safe region.
